Ik had bij thuiskomst gehoopt een update van je te lezen maar ik vermoed dat je het bijltje steevast naast je logge lijf hebt neergelegd. Gelukkig is Fransje Doeck weer heelhuids en vol bravoure teruggekeerd op de camping. Tijd voor een korte samenvatting! Ik heb enorm genoten van de vakantie op Cyprus met vrouw en kinderen. Ik ben alleen bang dat de zonnebrand die je me in de campingwinkel had gekocht zijn houdbaarheidsdatum heeft overschreden. De kinderen hebben hun verbrande hoofdhuid-velletjes in Cyprus op het strand verloren. Zelf heb ik weinig zon gezien omdat ik in de speelhal van het hotel een compleet nieuwe flipperkast en find-it uitvoering had ontdekt, had jij ook geweldig gevonden Karel. Na 7 dagen heb ik op beide kasten mezelf in de top 20 weten te manouvreren. Echter heeft de hotel eigenaar me na de 7e dag een verbod op de speelhal gegeven omdat andere kinderen er niet meer bij konden. M’n vrouw had intussen vriendinnen op het strand gevonden met wie ze een onbeperkt eet arrangement bij een barman hadden losgepeuterd…
Na m’n speelhalverbod ben ik eigenlijk verplicht de straat op gestuurd en heb ik met de kinderen een rondje Cyprus gedaan. Zoals je weet is m’n vrouw slecht te been dus ben ik met de kids in een ouderwetse Engelse bus met open dak van Ayia Nappa naar het oude Turkse gedeelte gereden. Prachtig oude gebouwen gezien en ik heb een koffer vol met souvernirs meegenomen. Ik was echter vergeten korte broeken mee te nemen dus heb ik halverwege de busreis een zakmes gekocht en mijn pijpen afgesneden. De ‘guide’ kon haar ogen niet van mijn gespierde achterste afhouden volgens mij. Mensen maakten zowaar foto’s.
Uiteindelijk zijn we twee dagen eerder naar huis gegaan omdat we vanwege ongepast gedrag van de kinderen niet meer in het hotel welkom waren. Ik dacht dat ik ze wel geleerd had niet in het zwembad te mogen urineren maar goed. Zou je zo vriendelijk willen zijn je caravan weer van ons plekje op de camping te kunnen verwijderen Karel? Dan kunnen we het terrein vandaag ontsmetten en morgen zelf weer alles installeren. Alvast bedankt en ik hoor hopelijk van je!
ps: Hoe is je zwemdiploma gegaan? Ik hoop dat je alles nu eindelijk gehaald hebt zodat we je volgende week voor het veterstrik diploma kunnen inschrijven. Dan heb je het allemaal maar gehad.
