Ha die Karel,

Ik ontving vanmiddag een verontrustende mail van de voorzitter van Losventiel, misschien is het het beste als je hem zelf eerst ook even leest…

Beste Frans Doeck,

Hoe is het met u? En met moeder de vrouw en de kinderen? Ik hoop dat ik u niet teveel tot last ben met deze mail maar ik zou graag een beroep willen doen op uw zachtaardige karakter en onbegrensde hulpvaardigheid. Ik zit met een groot probleem en zie op het moment geen uitweg meer. Het begon allemaal afgelopen dinsdagmorgen toen ik mijn caravan uitstapte om ons rozenperkje van vers water te voorzien. Wat begon als een prachtige dag veranderde echter in een regelrechte hel toen ik onze tijdelijke notulist Karel Cartonne op de voorheen lege plek pal naast ons zijn caravan zag installeren. In eerste instantie dacht ik dat dit weer een van zijn kinderachtige grappen zou zijn om ons te sarren maar toen ik de campingwacht sprak bleek helaas niets minder waar. Hij en zijn kneuterige familie zijn maandag namelijk door de campingwacht vriendelijk doch dringend verzocht om bij het plekje achter de buurtwinkel te vertrekken. Dit aangezien de heer Cartonne zich schuldig zou hebben gemaakt aan het stelen van statiegeld flessen die normaliter achter het winkeltje staan opgeslagen. Zijn alibi was erg zwak en het motief dat hij ze voor medische doeleinden nodig had is ongegrond verklaard door de rijdende camping rechter. (vader van Freek)

Nu heeft de campingwacht die bemoeial van een Cartonne echter pal naast onze standplaats een plek toegewezen. Iets waar ik en mijn gezin verre van gerust op slapen. Naast het feit dat de heer Cartonne zijn fiets meerdere malen in onze heg geparkeerd heeft, hangt hij om de haverklap met z’n dikke neus en jampotglazen over onze schutting te gluren naar mijn vrouw die met lekker weer graag zonder bovenstukje van de zon geniet. Tevens is zijn gezette vrouw de ganze dag aan het frituren waardoor de loefzijde van onze caravan onder de vetaanslag zit afkomstig van hun afvoerpijp. Om nog maar niet te spreken over de ondraaglijke putlucht die rechtstreeks over de schutting naar ons waait. Voor eventuele juridische stappen heb ik vliegensvlug een foto weten te schieten toen hij vanmorgen wederom een blik op de voorgevel van mijn vrouw wilde werpen…

Ik hoop echter dat het niet zover hoeft te komen. Hij weigert echter op mijn vraag in te gaan om zijn caravan te verplaatsen naar een andere standplaats. Na verwoede pogingen om rechtstreeks tot Karel Cartonne door te dringen probeer ik het als laatste strohalm via deze weg alvorens juridische stappen jegens meneer Cartonne te ondernemen. Ik weet dat jullie al jaren beste vrienden van elkaar zijn en hoop dat jij meer invloed op de Cartonnetjes hebt. Gelieve de familie Cartonne niet op de hoogte te stellen van het feit dat ik u hier over mail. Dit zou de heer Cartonne tegen me kunnen gebruiken in de rechtzaal.

Wanneer u succes boekt wil ik overwegen om u als penningmeester van Losventiel aan te stellen Frans. We moeten ook weer op zoek naar een nieuwe notulist aangezien Karel zijn eigen ruiten heeft ingegeooid. Tevens zal ik uw contributie voor de fietsclub met 3 euro per jaar verlagen als u ons uit deze slopende tijden van ellende kunt bevrijden. Misschien kunt u hem wijsmaken dat er aan de andere kant van de camping standplaatsen zijn waar je meer zon hebt en de statiegeld flessen voor het oprapen liggen of iets. Kijk maar even, ik vertrouw erop u bij deze voldoende geinformeerd te hebben en mochten er nog vragen zijn, schroom dan niet om ze te stellen.

Dat is nogal wat he Karel? Zoals je weet vertrek ik aankomende zaterdag met het gezin naar onze vakantie bestemming. Wat mij betreft mag je voor die 10 dagen wel op onze plek staan als je wilt. Ik weet hoelang je al op ons plekje naast Jennie de tennis lerares aast. Mocht dit geen optie voor je zijn dan wens ik je vast veel succes in de rechtzaak Karel! We zullen aan je denken als we met de voetjes in het zwembad dobberen. Alvast hartelijke groeten vanaf de costa en tot over 10 dagen!
