Waar twee honden vechten om een been…
Ha die Karel,
Het was eindelijk zover! Ons laatste optreden in Lingo is dit keer WEL uitgezonden!! Ik heb een aangetekende brief gestuurd naar die lieve minder valide gespleten bamboe Lucille dat ik erop op stond dat onze deelname dit keer wel uitgezonden zou worden. We hadden dit keer immers sporadisch een onguur woord gebruikt, schone kleren aan en we hadden zowaar vlak voor het einde bijna een punt te pakken. 0 punten van ons tegen 500 van de tegenpartij vonden ze geen potje om uit te zenden ofzo. We zijn er ook al achter waarom jou laatste woord werd afgekeurd, het is namelijk beFlap en geen beVlap volgens de ‘Dikke van Dale’. Zelfs ook al beweerd die ‘Dikke van Jou’ anders.
Enfin, we zijn op de kijkbuis geweest. In de camping kantine hebben we op semi-groot scherm gekeken en alles op de bandrecorder van Freek opgenomen. Ik heb nog eens zitten kijken met m’n vrouw naar de herhaling maar bij onderstaand woord lijken ze ons toch belazerd te hebben. 
Stom ook dat ons 7-letter Lingo beloofd was en we 6-letters kregen trouwens.
Volgens mij ging er iets compleet mis met de geel/oranje kleurtjes en vakjes ook al paste “slurfje” niet meer in de vakjes op het laatst. Wel leuk om in ieder geval een aandenken te hebben, ze willen ons de nieuwe lingotassen zelfs toezenden als ik zou beloven nooit meer contact op te nemen met de Lingo directie. Ben heel benieuwd hoeveel compartimenten en pennengleufjes ze nu in de tassen gemaakt hebben.
Tot vanaaf op de kegelbaan, eerst even langs de speelautomaten bij de buurtsoos?

Jongens, heel goed gedaan! Ik ben trots op jullie. Ik was er ‘s avonds ook bij in de camping kantine maar moest snel weer weg nadat ik een dienblad met versie koffie over de door de Sponsorloterij aangeboden flipperkast had laten vallen. Barman Bert Bakhoes was woest en heeft mij een zelfs een weekverbod opgelegd. Heel jammer maar ik kan het wel begrijpen.

Hey Pete,Your grandfather sounds like a great man. People today could still live the life and be happy the way he was. Society tries to brainwash you into thinking you need the best (most expensive) of the best. When in reality, the best things in life are free. Love, family, friends, a job you like (it doesnt have to pay all that well!) People become caught up in the game and become greedy. Trying to make the most money no matter what it takes. Money is overrated. It changes people too. But you know what it was that taught me to appreciate the real things that make life worth living? Technology. You can almost see what is good and what is bad and the internet provides you with both outlooks. I have seen so many things online and read so much that I realize that it isnt money that will make me happy. It is what I have in my heart. Whatever it is that makes you truly happy to be alive (and it never should be money.) That is what you live for. I would much rather love a man that had nothing, so long as he loved me than love a man that had everything but was too caught up in it that he never could actually see me for who I am. Call me a hopeless romantic but I would rather choose that way of life than become engulfed in the worlds fixation on superficial possessions.
